Bonsai is in surgery today. We are praying for a full recovery.
Dr. Cole explained the surgery a bit more today. They will go in through the side of his rib cage, spread the ribs and be able to cut the offending vessel around his esophagus. Then they plan to run a balloon down his esophagus to try and open that constriction up a little more.
He survives at the moment on all his food in a slurry, being fed 4 times a day.

We are hoping that there are no lasting effects and he will be able to eat normally in the future. Time will tell.
