Update March 25: I met with Angel today at where she is staying. This dog is SWEET!! She IS super shy. But once I sat with her and started petting her and giving her a good neck rub, she just started to melt. I love this dog. She will need a very patient person to bring her out of her shell. She will hide in her dog house when people come around. She loves being in the house. Just finds a quiet spot and lays down. She has a wonderful playful spirit when she is on her terms and trusting. She totally loves her current situation but the person thinks she deserves more. A place where she can run and play with other dogs and skijor. If she is running around off leash, she comes the instant her current caregiver calls her. With time and love, this dog will make someone a super pet/companion.
Update February 21: Angel is in a temporary home in Fairbanks. Very temporary!! We need to find this wonderful girl a home. She is being walked on a leash every other day and the foster says this dogs pulls hard!! I bet she would become a great skijor dog given patience and in a smaller group of dogs. She is very very sweet and would make a great addition to a family who wants to skijor or just wants a pal to go running or hiking with.
Looking for a foster or home (preferable home!) for this sweetie from Manley (I thought it was Minto at first! My bad!). She can be brought to town soon. She is 18 months old and loves everybody. Her owner states she really doesn’t want to be a sled dog. Would make a great hiking companion and lap dog.
